I'm not really interested in the Air.

Too expensive. But then again, Apple stuff almost always is.

I have a 2.4GHz 15" Macbook Pro with 2GB of RAM which I paid about $4000 for without Applecare. Applecare ran about another $700.

I have a Thinkpad T61. 2.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD which cost about $2500 and comes with 3 year warranty.

I like my MBP but I don't like it $1500 more than the Thinkpad. Wink

Mass production of SSD drives has not kicked in. They are that expensive. A 8GB one can kill already. At the price for a 64GB SSD is quite reasonable liao. Laughing

same here, but budget no big enough. i sat on this decision for 6 months. finally bought Dell XPS 1330, deal maker was the free 3 year warranty.

i was worried that the macbook air trumped my xps too much... good thing many features i require the mba doesnt have.

a MacBook is more than sufficient..

this is thin is nice.. it's sexy.. but what if i need to plug in something.. a client gives me a DVD or CD with the information, and i'm screwed.. i don't have wifi or whatever and there's an ethernet cable...

like a supermodel, it's pretty but also pretty vacant...

a true road warrior will stick to a normal MacBook or a MacBook Pro

It's 0.2 ghz processing speed.

It's barely going to make any difference at all, at least nothing notable without using programs to calculate the boost in performance. Plus, it's a CPU processor, whereas games require a dedicated graphics card which neither of them offers.
