Subaru R2??? Never seen this before in Australia. Anyway, just my personal view, I think the latest Subaru look is ugly. The R2 for eg looks like a piglet. Unless you wanna be "Babe", I wouldn't wanna go on a date in this car.

One word on the lastest Subaru WRX, 2.5 litre turbo. Don't be fooled by thinking that 2.5 litre means its going to have earlier Subies for breakfast. I'm driving a MY01 "Bugeye" wrx. From launch, they lose and also from rolling start (2nd gear). And they have this irritaing stock BOV that gives a crappy low class, high pitched "psst". Plus, they look like crap on close-up (not that mine look any better). I think Subaru have a wonderful engineering dept, but its designing dept seems like they hire people from Bangladesh?

Any one out there have a different view?

Anyways, I'm looking for parts for my WRX. Things like VF22 turbos or any other turbos like Garrett, HKS or Blitz. Also, things like boost controllers and tien coilovers are desirable too. Anyone got any lobangs or can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

i have to admit initially i didnt like it... but watching petter solberg in wrc in that car after awhile grows on you... its just like how so many in the past hated the bug eyed now thinks it looks good or better

I agree that the looks grow onto you. I've seen the STI version, black. Very nice indeed. But still, compared to the old designs, I'd love to hate the new design. And maybe its just me, I'm in Brisbane and those new WRX drivers are very cocky indeed. Once is when I'm driving my "bugeye" and that fella wanna play with me when I'm just happily going home after buying pizza. Then another time is when I'm driving my girlfriend's Lancer, that fella actually wanted to play with me!!! I'm just going home from work, tired like hell and he's there, trying to do a rolling start with me! WTF??? I think they didn't know they are actually slower than the earlier WRX even though they have a bigger engine.

No dramas mate. I guess this is the thing with typing. You can't judge the tone of typings. Thats why its a bit hard to chat on msn or whatever chat program.

Anyways, does singapore have Skylines? What I've noticed is that in singapore, WRX are considered "beng". But here, its the opposite. R33 are as common as Honda Civics in singapore. And most of the time its those "bengs" who can't afford anything else but die die wanna win. Its cheap as chips and its has no class at all. Lucky, they draw all the attention of the police away from us WRX drivers.

Oh and Aussies love their big V8s. I see them as nothing but bricks that drinks fuel. They are heavy and because its a V8, they chomp fuel faster than you set a can of petrol alight. Plus, they ALWAYS lose to japanese 4 cylinders in terms of acceleration and braking. Thats why they jealously call us "rice burners". Chao ang moh.....
