Means to slow down the vehicle by the means of the engine and
gears.
Assume at 50km/h, usually at 4th gear, you are approaching a
junction. Instead of using the footbrake, u slow down the vehicle
by downshifting the gears, from 4th, to 3rd, then 2nd, without
stepping on the throttle
Since ur engine will try to idle at approx 1krpm without
stepping on the throttle, u will feel the vehicle slow down as ur
gear goes lower + engine trying to idle back to 1krpm.
