First of all english is not our main language , but most of us do know how to speak english , but we tend to use those words like what u said , "leh , loh , lah" etc etc. and that is what we call singlish. I hope this give u a better understanding of singapore. every country got different culture and style. And this is our singaporean culture and style. And as for italian , we are totaly different from them , in terms of culture and style. So yeah , i hope u get what i mean. and btw where do you come from?
