It wouldnt go with the generations because its used as a political tool by the leaders

Few years ago there were protest in Beijing against the Japanese, most of the protesters were young punks who werent even born during the war period

Politics of the big against the small.

When the small is far ahead and the big trying to catch up.
The big will dredge up some historical baggage, lamblast the small, to divert the attention of the population to their own short-commings and foot-dragging.

We in Singapore are well acquainted with such tactics.

Have anyone heard of Japanese Unit 731.
they use chinese prisoners in biological chemical warfare experiment.
During the 80's there is a film name Man Behind The Sun Unit 731, you all still can see the film in youtube.

Well, at one pt of time i was disgusted by the 731, nanking and stuff …but slowly i had come to terms with myself…why hate the japanese now for what they didnt do….it was thier forefather who committed rape , murder arson and stuff…but still, they were under order, and rampant propaganda back then…And at one pt of time i hate them alot…but now, i cant live without thier movies, fashion and stuff…seriously they are a unique culture i would say, they dont hide thier problems and well, i guess what i hate now were the japanese of the past..not present..Look at thier youth now, so peace loving and i guess its time we let it go…but still, the price that our forefathers paid shall be remembered…...However i believe they should not be a hindrance that pulls us apart, after all we are asians.

And now, while we’re enjoying our jpop and stuff, lets not think about the past anymore, we should just remember and treat what they had done as a lesson for us chinese…and no offence but i feel we were partly to blame and on the otehr hand if u look at it, the invasion hastened the unity of us chinese and finally after decades of struggles, chinese were finally united after the jap invasion.Think of it us a wake up call or rather, we learnt it the hard way…
