extrinsic SG no way. unless u bring ur frd back to police and switch? which i tink may be acceptable. and if ur frd run, then good luck liao. else, everyone will stand bail for those murderer, then ask murderer run, then the bailer act blur. every1 oso noe.
Xcert SG U can call and tell the IO that U are not willing to continue being her bailor..my guess is that the IO will require U to bring ur friend back to the station. troublesome yes but U are the one changing ur mind so U have to do it if U really want to.
dreamykite SG maybe you have miss it. too wordy. and don't expect the officer to tell you bcos he/she expect u to know. maybe ur frd know, go ask ur frd.
newcomer SG when is the next visit to her io? tat time when u go wif her ask the IO if u're already discharged, if not tell the io u want to be discharged but must get someone to stand bail for her. otherwise u can consult with HEP, 1st consultation is free one.
kog SG hoho.....I called him and he said he doesn't know how and will consult "his supervisor" ??!!! He doesn't know and he expects me to know? I guess the bailer just need to bring the criminal back and police lock him up again, then the bailer is considered discharged.
wonderamazement SG Dunno whose siggy was saying something about in a jail and if you're a really good friend... You'll be sitting beside him/her in the lockup and looking at each other saying "We're f*cked"
AndrewPKYap SG ... and how are you going to do that? ... she might make a molest or assault charge against you... ... anyway this is only police bail... once they charge her in court, she will be offered bail by the courts and the police bail lapse... but you better check with someone to confirm this...
kog SG Thanks. I found what I want: The surety may apply to be discharged from his responsibilities if he no longer wishes to stand as surety. The application may be made when the matter is next mentioned. A surety may also make a written application to the Court for the matter to be fixed for mention to enable him to make the necessary application. Both parties must be present on the mention date. The accused person must also give his consent to the discharge of his surety. Upon the discharge of the surety, the accused person would be remanded until or unless another surety is found.
