It is men’s duty and responsiblity as citizens to serve NS and
we, Singaporeans, respect and salute them. In time of peace, they
help to protect vital installations, and help out where manpower is
required. They also help in areas where disasters have struck
whether here or overseas. When the need arises, I am sure they will
be able to defend our country and protect us – men, women and
children.
