sbst275 SG Actually the poly intake is actually based on wat's likely to happen by the time the students grad No teritary inst would not come with dip or degree courses that's not relavant to the ind
MidnightK SG yeah.. my aunt knocks off at 530pm sharp.. ha, ha.. she told me all the benefits.. i feel like working for a foreign company in the future..
FireIce SG no doubt it's projected and perceived but progress is too fast things happen and boom earlier tts something tts overlooked or cannot be controlled
MidnightK SG with qualifications and relative job exp.. i believe human r/s play a big part.. at least what bosses like is subordinates sucking up to them?
GHoST_18 SG like one-north at buona vista... govt pumped in so much money... but it's not doing very well...
sbst275 SG But seriously speaking, most of the time is to adjust the intake for the resp courses Some new courses from wat I see is not giving a good pic, those IR courses might end producing too many ppl
FireIce SG yah.... MNC still protect their own ppl more.... and can have many dynamic changes in the co. like mergers, acquisitions, change in operations.... so rice bowl oso shaky
GHoST_18 SG i read somewhere, IR conducts their own courses... so even if u have a dip in IR management, u still have to add their inhouse training? correct me if im wrong..
sbst275 SG Defintely a training related to the firm's Wat that cert can provide is the basic. But I believe it's going to create oversupply of manpower Even the projected 100,000 service staff in the IR is kinda overestimated
FireIce SG govt got set quota one mah when IT was the hot stuff, they want 20,000 IT grads each year then IT dying liao change to 5000 IT grads each year and dun 4get the pte schools, distance learning..........
GHoST_18 SG i think so too... somehow i feel tat the info published in the papers is just to add hype to the project... create some sort of false hope in a way.....
FireIce SG tts PR and marketing lah and propaganda have to make it like a sacred decision by the govt to give us big big hope tt the IR will be able to revolutionalise and change the lives of singaporeans via employment opportunities, tourism and related industries 'revenue blah blah blah
sbst275 SG They estimated 100,000 ppl needed for IR, so effort was taken to produce more service sector ppl But they might have alrdy omitted tat inside the IR, ppl like engineers are also needed...
wonderamazement SG They say cigs turn yr fingertips yellow... How bout nails? Esp those pretty pretty ones?
