i think its suppose to be filled with what you usually sign off
like regards, cheers, etc. so that it will save the trouble of
always typing that out after every post.
but as time passes, people chose to put stuff that are creative,
nice or for whatsoever reason for others to read.
and even more recently, people rather type their nick or name in
every post than use the siggy function.
