x2! We share the same thinking..

Do you blame you parents for not letting you learn piano when you're young? Or you parents did not enroll you into piano lessons.

From what I know, the best timing to learn piano is when you're young(4 year old to 11 year old). That's because the neuro-connection of a young child is twice of an adult. Which means to say, young child have the ability to learn things faster and better.

Once you've past the puberty stage, the neurons in the brain will undergo a process which closes connections that are not in frequent use. Hence after puberty stage, you'll find it quite hard to learn piano.

For me, sometimes I'll feel very regret because my parents didn't enroll me into any musical lessons when I'm young. Or maybe is because my house financial is not very good, can't afford for piano lessons. Sad If only they could develop my talent for piano at that time, perhaps now I am already a good pianist already.

But I do play musical instruments like trumpet when I am in primary school.

huiz SG

me but i took up piano when i started working.

Daisuke-kun SG

me no interest in piano.

Darkness_hacker99 SG

Do you find it easy to learn? Confused

Intel Inside SG

well it depends on your interest and "develop my talent" comes only when you have the talent in the first place...some parents nowadays force their child to go to piano classes when the child do not like music at all.

As for you u said u play other musical stuff in pri sch so i think u do like music and might be a good pianoist if u had gone to piano classes...but ya its never to late to learn right?

stevephua SG

They must have their own reasons la... doesn't matter, you can't change the past...

But you can change the future, pick up the lessons and learn now, put your heart to it, I'm sure can make it one... =)

I was more interested in playing instruments when i was young but forced for art courses.

The art courses didn't benefit me much at all though. Laughing

Never learn, but learn by myself. Able to play with two hands three years ago, but then afterwards, I switch to drumming and guitar, hence, piano skills really very rusty. Laughing

Well, now I play with one hand, and able to play something out of it, well, you guess it. That Thing You Do ON PIANO! Twisted Evil
