I would agree for sending it to the Canon center if it is a new
camera.
But if the warranty is out and it's an old model, Steven could do a
better and cheaper job.
He's restored classic medium format and large format cameras like
Mamiya, Hasselblad and FD mount Canon AE systems.
Always have a good experience there with my pro gear.
