True.The shows last time might be produced by hk directors..but the current shows..i think even i can be more creative than that.

It used to be "Hey its 7 O'Clock show already..turn on the television".
Now..erm..please turn off the tv.

Why they cant produce Wu Xia drama anymore?

Well, I personally think is because local directors / producers dont really know much about ancient china. In fact, they dont know much about china's history and culture. That's why they cant produce such drama.

Another possibility is that they want to cut cost. Wu Xia drama more expensive to produce. Drama on family theme cheaper right? Actor wear singlet, shorts, hair messy can act liao. Very Happy

gu zhuang shows are extremely expensive to produce. Also, they have to pay all the crew members extra money just to produce one.

i remember last time i used to wait in front of the tv by 7pm and 9pm, anticipating the shows to start...but now totally no motivation to watch...

i still remember some of the best drama series i have watched before...

the magnate (starring Li Nan Xing and Ivy Lee)
morning express (chen han wei, ann kok, etc)
golden pillow (zoe, fann)
the brave new life (fann, christopher)
the chronicles of life (fann, xie shao guang)
wok of life
the price of peace

awesome thing is I can still remember how the theme songs sound like for most of them...
