I think you are too quick to judge someone.
Everyone in their logical and rational mind knows that in gambling,
you will always lose.
but why do our ever brilliant government would still want to build
a casino?
because there will be always someone who is willing to take a
chance to realize their dream of becoming a millionaire
overnight.
there was a report, when the economy was bad, the number of bets
increased instead of decrease.
Why? Cause everyone views gambling as a long shot in breaking out
of the vicious cycle.
I have been to crown casino in Melb. The front, it is all glamour,
lights.
but there was once my taxi dropped me at the back. There, you see
couples holding each other, crying, people who look so lost cause
they may have gambled everything away. So Sad.
Now, in a broader sense, when you sent your resume for job
application, it is a gamble, when you select the top 6 schools for
PSLE, it is a gamble.
In life, you always have to take a gamble. But at least, we know
what we are doing..And what are the stakes.
As a parent, I understand why they pay for this son, they just
embrace this hope that their son can change. They want to give this
son one chance to turn over. Other than the parents, who will
stretch out their hand to help? Not the one who ask you to pay GST,
ERP or CPF.
In the end, who to blame? Only yourself lor.
