BeautifulBetty SG Nothing new. Dale Carnegie wrote that before. Napolean Hill wrote that before. Anthony Robbins wrote that too. Only difference is they phrase it differently but meanings boil down to same same
AndrewPKYap SG ... books are important in that they give you the reasoning behind the statements.. you might think that the statements are important but actually, (like this statement I am making now) it is the reasoning behind it that is important... ... and to write the reasoning behind what I just said... hahaha... that would take an article... at least....
digicharat SG they can claim all the bullshits they wrote in there were their ways to get rich as they claimed to be a living example. but how true is that? hmm... if im rich, i also can write a bunch of bullshits and claim that was how i got rich then sit back and collect royalties from people who treat my bullshits as holy words. oh... im not discrediting those books or what la... just that there are a lot more to it than in those books on how to get rich. a lot of factors and considerations to take care of too.
jondizzle foshizzle SG Money isn’t everything. I’d rather do something I love for a living and be poor than be rich and work a job I hate.
DriftingGuy SG ".........Some readers have said that if I am going to criticize Kiyosakis book, I must offer a version of how to better yourself that does not have the flaws of Rich Dad Poor Dad. No problem. That would be my book Succeeding." So its just one author of yet another get rich book saying his is better. If I have to get it I would rather borrow this from the library then to buy it
apples SG That is a very nice book. I listened to the audio version at least 2 times. It may seem common sense but many of us lack it and does have the will power to act with common sense.
deathbait SG i was laughing by the time i was halfway through not so much by the time i was done. He portrays a very innocent view of how investments work.
Icemoon SG That's precisely what the book is arguing against - work for a job you hate. In fact, the author argues that we should let money work for us, not the other way round.
Icemoon SG I'm not sure whether Napoleon Hill told this story. But really leh, for those who not read his book "Think and Grow Rich", should go and read. Inside his son?, deaf from birth, but had very strong faith, could hear when he grew up.
