i did a check with my hubby. He said that my in-law's version is the luxury one.
I guess maybe because he was a previous buyer and also one of the early birds, the price given to him is much cheaper. (Cos I remember abt more than a mth back when he discussed with a neighbour, the car price in the mkt was ard $136k-$137k, but they gave him a discounted price at less than $130k) Razz

However, I do also know that the price defer depends on the type of "accessories" that you opt for.

Whatever it is...i dun care. The car is nice but damn cramp behind. LOL

well, its great is your in-laws got it at that price. definitely a fantastic buy. U might want to check out the GS or the new ES350. Just saw it on the web. Quite cool esp with th epanaromic roof

It will make it here for sure. A matter of time. But it may be a 3litre car instaed. The GS may then move to 3.5l.

Lexus could hardly give any discount, though my sales man fought for it. Anyway, during the pre-launch, i remembered they were selling much cheaper.. well maybe the in-laws got it during the pre-launch PLUSthey do trade in for the old lexus. But honestly, for the price the in-laws are paying is the BASIC version not the Luxury definitely. Luxury has much more features.

Just got my IS250 (STD) 2 weeks ago, love the drive. Except the 16" on the IS looks wrong. I am shopping for a 17".

Mine's a standard, got it at 125888. Heard that the std is now going for 120K!!?

I must say that the IS250 looks great externally but if you talk about the interior, I still prefer the BMW 3-series or Audi A4.

Anyway, I think when people buy a Lexus, they dont just get a great ride. Theyll get great services as well. I know cause I drive a GS. They actually couriered a bottle of good Spanish red wine (very well packaged if I may add) to my house in appreciation of my Lexus purchase. This was followed by a Lexus Club teddy and car decal (a few weeks later). Then came complimentary tickets to Lexus Club private screening of Pirates of the Caribbean @GV Grand. These are just some of the perks you can expect being a Lexus owner. These perks may be cheap but at least theyre making a good effort in making the owners feel good/pampered.

Perks aside, lets tak about car servicing. Whenever you bring your car in for servicing, therell be an agent attending to you (this is common, I know). And whenever I step into the service centre office, Ill (almost instantly) be asked whether I would like to have some snacks/food/drinks by the attendant there. Theres even free internet access & cable tv for you to enjoy while waiting for your car to be ready.

All these without paying a premium that you normally would for a European marque. What more can I ask for? So Angielika, I hope youll have a pleasant Lexus experience like I did. Enjoy and take good care of your new baby!
