in celebration of its 25 years of making, ch 8 has been airing some
of its old serials in various time slots. watching some of these
old dramas - The wok of life, Tofu street and The Legendary ghost
catcher- i can't help but lament how terrible ch 8 serials has
become...
it's common knowledge that mediacorp today produce mainly one genre
of serials - low budget, family-themed serials. some of the
storyline looked like their scripts were written overnite...
*the most recent "big-production " Kinship (Shou Zhu) took
crappyness to a new level
watched Tofu street this morning and althou shot on a limited
budget and small cast, the storyline and making was visibly made
with sincerity and effort..
rely dun know what went wrong with ch 8 serials nowadays.. hardly
any one i can watch beyond a few episodes or worth remebering
