i took my a lvls in 2006 and currently serving ns now. however i got BCC B3 for my A's and didn't manage to get accepted by any of the local unis. i didn't opt for very competitive courses like biz and accting but still got rejected flat. got very affected by the rejections from all 3 unis and wanna know what u guys think abt my situation. frankly this affects my ns life in one way or another tt i cant concentrate when in camp. the purpose of this post is to allow myself to know what u ppl think. just shoot, be it i shud go poly study etc.. Smile

i’m an arts student. seriously i’m wondering if i shud just think about alternatives like going abroad to study or poly?

Either way, you would still have to maintain good grades throughout poly semesters in order to get into uni. ( at least a gpa of 3.5 ) . What i suggest is taking the SIM route.

nah i’m trying to say at least go poly and get a diploma or something. i’m form the dragon batch anyway. a lvls cert is nothing leh although i got bcc. bcuz i cant even enter uni with bcc b3, what’s the dif of getting EEE C6 when unis don’t accept me. thanks for the replies guys

dont go poly. u already have the a lvl cert. move on frm there not go to poly cos if u go to poly then uni u wasting alot of time IMHO. Razz

and i often ask myself why get a bcc b3. if i had gotten eee c6 i would be happier u know.wad’s the point now… yea blame on my ignorance to not study hard enough. but a yr ago? bcc b3 would haf definitely gotten me somewhere. life’s a biatch, love it totally.

from wad i’ve seen many of the alvl failures went to poly eventually…Many of them.. not sure about the SIM route tho..

dont lose heart. how abt retaking your a lvl during yr time in army try for local uni? think its the best way.

If you are interested in the Sciences, you can go poly. Physiotherapy and radiotherapy and the likes are opened to JC grads only.

many other options other than the 3 local unis......but if u wanna go in so badly then have to try again Neutral

like they said, don't go poly, unless u are trying for those courses that requires A lvls. There are many other options and going to poly would be a waste. SIM and other private institutions are equally good too.

BTW, u didn't mentioned the type of courses u applied.

i applied for fass, project facilities management, humanities fac, arts social sci all kenna rejected. the worst thing is i didnt do so badly tt i will never enter local uni you see. it’s so discouraging when i learned tt i got rejected when i initially thought i somehow can enter uni to courses like fass. it’s not like i’m going for business or law etc. i’m going for something tt “used to be” feasible.
