i dont think there is any issue wif growing up or ego here. some ppl r jus not as strong minded as u urself claimed to b. this poor guy is feeling low n confused now, n all u can do is "grow up" n "grow up". now u call that advice? more like reprimanding to me. try putting urself in his shoes, n how he feeling now... he was PRESSURISED to sign that contract, i m not sure whether u will do the same under those circumstances, but i dont think he did it willingly. n wats the deal wif seeing a mental doctor?? mayb u need it more than he do. think abt it...Mr "Grown-Up"

Call your bank to cancel the pay and the credit card too. Make complain and what more have to change your mobile number if they still call you.

I normally won't give out my mobile number to these people as they will just call non-stop until you agree on their package. I cmask my number so I can block them anytime if they are harassing me.

sorry.. you just needed to say no.. and walk on.. if they blocked your way or something, you can say that they are stopping you from moving away and therefore obstructing you from leaving their premises which is public domain since it's a place of business..

which means they have in effect, imprisoned you and can be considered kidnapping...

Hi there. From the situation you have described, I believe what the manager had done constituted an unfair practice under the consumer protection Act because the instructors exerted pressure on you and the manager misled you into signing the contract. You have a case against him simply because he have or claimed to have credited the bill to your gym card which was AGAINST YOUR WILL.

Don't worry too much. Explain your case and situation accordingly when you meet the CASE representative. Don't miss out on any vital information.

Whatever the outcome, I don't think you would want to walk or go near that gym again. After settle everything, cut your gym card into pieces and throw them down the rubbish chute.

patgoh - have you tried that before?

your advice doesn't seem particularly good either by saying his case is weak.

If TS does as I say he will have no more problems but if he goes to CASE he can wait many months before he gets back his money or if at all.

If you file a dispute management form, the bank will have its legal team to address the issue on your behalf.

Not that I am arguing against you but it is not your prerogative to say whose advice is good or not - the decision lies with the TS and we are giving him input as to how best solve his problems.

It's been resolved and I don't even need to go through CASE.

My friend knows the most senior manager there and she spoke to him. I also went there to speak with one of the trainers. After a few min, almost 20 of the trainers gathered at the 3rd floor of the gym for a discussion which I assume is regarding my case.

Then just got a message from my friend around 6pm that my case has been resolved. I don't have to pay anything.

I am so gald for you man.. California Fitness.. Haiz.. They irritated me as well and they still do. They are real crappy people I tell you. So naggy and irritating. I had won their 14 day free pass, which everyone seems to be winning these days, and so went down to have a look around. Then woah.. They tried to brain wash me.. But they didn't realise that I was smarter then them. Becoz I was actually waiting for a friend and she was VERY VERY late.. So I didn't know what to do.. So as the person explained to me everything I kept on making excuses that this cannot that cannot and to my horror he OBLIGED to all my nonsensical comments and requests!'

Like I asked him to remove registration fees of 200 bucks or something then less then half the monthly fees and he said ok to everything! And he said to give me the 14 day pass I have to give 10 handphone numbers of my friends! BLARDY HELL! Guess what I did? I just wrote down nonsensical numbers Laughing
Idiots.. I am gonna preach every1 against them now. And eventualy when my friend message me that she was there, I just got up and told him, "Hey I will need time to decide on this, I gtg now as my friend is here, bye!" and before he can say anything I left!
