Helo, does any of your boss had this encounter?

If boss promised $150 for phone allowance. if phone bill never exceed this amount. i believe there should be no problem in claiming.

when the phone bills is less than the promised amt. say only claim $50
Then he got the cheek to ask, can list out the calls and i will not pay for any call that is not related to work.

Even when work related exceed $150. exceed amount i had to pay..

If this is the case, he shouldn't had said that phone can claim till $150 right?

So how u guys judge this kind of boss?

cos he also want to prevent ppl from abusing the system.

I gave my worker one prepaid card and every week, we will check the balance, cos we kinda got tired of checking the whole itemised billing on which one is related to work as the bill was like $300 plus per month.. inside got download wallpaper, etc.

Ask him if he would like to pay $30 per month (for starhub) for itemised billing on call usage, see what he answer to you.

Cos last time when i work, company subsidised $100 phone allowance although they got corporate line, but i dun wan to carry 2 handphones with me, cos occasionally need to call overseas.
When i go overseas for assignments, i can claim the full bill. Very Happy

Then i recommend that i take company phone lah.
Fair and square, he can see all calls i made.

But no, he dun want. he kept telling me maybe u can roughly give me how much u called ? ( meaning to say dun want to pay for bills but Lan lan had to pay for you.)

By the way, i'm in sales. Cannot be in offfice whole day. need to be outside making sales mah and expect lots of calls made by clients or to clients. So was thinking WTF?

Like that how? tell client, sorry har my phone claim reach liao. u call office. u can talk to my boss and he can convey the message to me?

bosses are taking the advantage that the job market isn't very good to bend workers' arms.

if the market is good, and you can just quit your job and find another one easily, you think he dare to impose such a rule?

one company I worked with give me a handphone and pay all the charges. They will have itemised billing to check if you have too much personal calls.. otherwise they will just pay..

The second company give me a flat allowance and don't even bother to ask anything.

This current one give a max allowance. Have to claim with bill. Less, Company don't pay extra , more, Company pay up to the limit . . so quite fair .. for you, sigh I pity you lor ... maybe you should us prepaid and work up to the limit, any extra, no need to take call ... Laughing

1) sent mass fax, cannot.. say waste money.
2) sales target not meet, say cut benefits..( was thinking wat benefits other than MC and leave, 7 pathetic days only...)
3) always say need to cut cost. think he dun drive can save up to 4k
reason: only to and fro office, just park in office n pay parking fees for nothing
