This is wad i think u can do:
wait for ur results to come out, if the results for the rest of the
subject are good, Proceed to a polytechnic and talk to their
directors or IN charge. Persuade them to allow you to enter their
school although your maths was a total mistake.
You can say stuff like" see my other subjects are good, only maths,
bcos i was late. I cannot afford to retake again, its too much
money for me"
Then u can say " how about this, i prove to you all, you all set a
Maths paper O lvl standard and i try to solve. If i pass, let me
stay till i get a chance to retake my Maths paper next year. If i
pass, i continue wif my course and if i fail, i withdraw but still
pay the fees due".
of course, you are not liable for tution grant that shaves smth
like 4k or 6k OFF tuition fees per Semester. =)
and i believe polytechnics go by case by case basis. good luck
