Ya, to be gracious, you should not complain so much.
This is Asia, a culture, why should we follow the west, the west
have their bad point too, homosexual, psychopath, lost of virginity
at young age, dirty and child sex, carry guns, drugs, alcohol abuse
and high divorce rates.
What i gather from the west is that they do criticise people, but
in a cuning way that we sometime cannot comprehend and thought that
it was nice to hear. Just like eg, "hey lady, I guess that shoe you
are wearing fit your lovely mommy too", if i do not understand, i
will think that it fit my mum and look good, but actually it means
"old fashion". But in the Asia context, we are more direct, "
Angel, that shoes look old fashion lah", no doubt it is direct and
not so nice, but it tell you the truth of it. That is one part of
Asiatic culture that i love here, be direct and be truth to
yourself. So in a sense, if a person eats with a open mouth, tell
him the truth, if he insist that, it is the way he likes to eat, so
be it.
