GenX SG hmm currently working in an office that turns off the aircon after 6pm and it can get abit unbearable after awhile especially if staying late which i do quite often.So looking to get a personal fan.Am considering a tower fan as it is pretty compact,however have never used one before so do not know the breeze provided by such fans are any good.So anyone know if the breeze provided by such a tower fan is as good as those traditional type as per 2 pic below?
MyPillowTalks SG i would get the traditional -more user friendly(easy washing) -the air is bigger ans it is not spreaded out to a straight line -cheaper
GenX SG hmm ok i dun mind cleaning and cost part or that the breeze is in a straight line just that the breeze should be strong enough.Reason being a tower fan being much more compact is a much more desirable choice as it takes up much lesser space on my already pretty limited area desk So is the breeze by such fan any good?cos seems like the vent is pretty small
MyPillowTalks SG not veri sure, i used to have a tower fan but it spoilt i tink u better walk in the shoopping centres, stand in front of the tower fans and the traditional ones and see
GenX SG hmm i see,maybe i need to spend more time shopping but well seems like those shops i have went to so far selling such tower fan do not have a display unit that is switched on.
hohaha SG No fans can be worst off than those wall fans at the hawker centres which mess up your neat hair and attire. Really hate those wall fans. Wonder who is the hero who came up with the idea of using those wall fans. Still prefer the ceiling fans which spin directly over the top and provide better ventilation.
BrUtUs SG tower fan not good… it only goes well if theres aircon… get a traditional one or get industrial one if ur place reali too hot…
GenX SG yeah got aircon but only during office hours,after 6 pm,building management shut down the aircon for whole building....... well seems like traditional fan still better
toyota-corolla SG USE THIS! One strong breeze. But seriously, I recommend those trad fan, must more powerful. My friend has a twoer fan, and it blow craps out.
angel7030 SG Aiya, Use those hand Satay or BBQ fan better. Want more wind, fan faster, can self control mah, very versatile, go toilet also can use, and no need electricity, also can use to BBQ foods.

Phoebie SG same as yours, my ex office building switch off the air con automatically at around 6pm daily this is handy and they have an air cooler in the server room
