Thanks hisoka for the reply. I did tell him that he can still
drive but better be more careful (especially when approaching
traffic light junctions, pedestrain crossings, do not drive in the
bus lanes during restricted hours, adhere to the speed limits, do
not cross the double white lines when merging into traffic, etc...)
since all these carry 4 or more demerit points.
As for the seat belt law, yea I have to agree with you that it is
pretty silly. So unless his passengers belt up, he does not do the
driving till they cooperate.
