Our MM Lee Kuan Yew said something bout that. He said if Malaysia does not want to treat all races as equal and give everyone equal opportunities, then they will blow any chances for Singapore to rejoin Malaysia again in future. The malaysia deputy PM then replied and said that Singapore and Malaysia will NEVER rejoin back no matter what.

My personal view? It will be shitty to rejoin them if we are going to adopt their system of education and government. We are doing well on our own. They should adopt our system. ALthough its not entirely fair (our system is elitist but still based on meritocracy), at least it gives more opportunities to everyone. People who work hard can actually get somewhere in Singapore. Ive known Malaysian chinese students who are really good, but they dont get to go to university just because priority is given to malaysian malays. That is why a whole load of Malaysians came/are coming to Singapore. My dad is a Singaporean and mum was a Malaysian. I think ive seen enough of both sides and im glad to be in Singapore instead of Malaysia.

Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Simpler life, simpler things, simple wants, a person will be happier.

But on the other hand, there's politics to consider. My hopes will be dashed by the current UMNO, but at least I could still some light in SG...

I don't dare to question the what ifs. There's no what ifs. It's either join or not. I prefer the latter, despite how lame the PAP is getting...

actually the main issue i have with MY would be the bumiputra and islam/malay centric rules, laws, policies and way of doing things. If the got rid of that i don't think there would be much problem.
