Short Ninja SG I think she was about 17 when he died and the only wife present at the exact time of his death.Someone told me that in the old days there was no clear line as to what the marrying age was and till this day you can still find some Islamic countries practising child marriages.Did he consummate that marriage? Slipshade SG I'm not sure whether that 9 years old kid part was true or not, but that's very common in those days. People get married real young in ancient days due to mortality rate and limited lifespan. Different era, different standard and viewpoint.
youthbegons SG you need to understand in order to judge. to give criticism or comments like that will just bring into more conflicts. I'm a muslim but I belive in my teachings. Why? now that is a good question. forums are not a sutable place to discuss such sensitive issue. why not approach the Muslim converts association. They run classes for those who which to learn or seek understanding. every tuesday lecturer there will help you to understand. there's even western and middleteranian participating. tomorrow evening at 8. now thats the place to seek knowledge. not forum cuz you wont even know if they're qualified to answer.
