omg dots..
the movie was originally shot on FILM for the theatre.
you can take any FILM and make it HD and it will be true HD unless
there are scratches or decolorisation or wear and tear due to AGE
of the film.
CONVENTIONAL FILM is different from DIGITAL as film is a continuous
material, not made up of dots like digital images and thus can be
converted to HD anytime.
if they say the movie is true HD shld be converted to HD from film
not from DVD.
however the other possibility is that the movie was
upsampled/upscaled to HD from SD.
anyway regardless of whichever, HD5 is widescreen, 5 is 4:3 so
there will still be a diff..
er i dunno how to explain la.. hope u understand.. it's a lot of
info so maybe you can google or wiki about film production
techniques, difference between conventional film and digital
etc.
or take a crash course in film.
