i dun this the issue is with whether u pay in full or not. if u
pay cash in full, the bank thingy dun even come to play, so no
story.
the issue lies when u decide to take a loan.
happened 2 me. when i bought my ody earlier tis yr, i wanted to pay
a higher dep so my loan repayment will be lower. to my dismay, km
se says to enjoy rebate of $1300 fm bank, i must take a min loan.
anything less will mean rebate not applicable. so i have to do
calculation and decided to take the min loan to enjoy the rebate
and put a reminder on my calender that on the 3rd year (aftr year 3
no interest penalty on forward payment), i will need to make a lump
sum payment to bank to offset what i intended to pay upfront
earlier.
my theory is the bank will think tt u will forget abt the
longer/bigger loan after 3 yrs so they will get back for sure what
they rebated u with interests charged. i thnk ppl are creatures of
convenience, after awhile, they tend to say, never mind lah....or
jus forgotten. i (hope) i am not one of those (yet)
meanwhile, my`extra cash' now is in the stk mkt, hopefully i make
more after 3 yrs so i pay `less'. but chialat if stk mkt crash in
2-3 yrs...
this is my thoery onli, maybe not chun...
btw, on yr Q2, the se sure got commission one. the km se told me
later over kopi tt he `chiak' on arranging yr car disposal, insu,
loan, any accesory u want installed with accredited shops besides
the car commission. he gv me a lift once, drives a saab no
less....knn
