udontknowme SG come and pick should i take asian studies or anthropology as my minor???? and why. thank you
^tamago^ SG Anthropology seems clear-cut to be relevant to your course wor. But why you also shortlisted asian studies leh?
udontknowme SG dun have to be relevant....just taking whatever i want.... now deciding between the two lor...
SpeedStar SG If i were u I were take neither of them, cos i dun have interest at all. But if really have to choose one, i will pick asian studies cos it sounds like a history subject to me and also sound more interesting than that ANALogy or watever course it is
Slipshade SG Anthropology is the scientific study of the origin, the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans. Doesn't sound any less interesting than Asian Studies.
udontknowme SG i see some 'politically correct' people and some people with no opinion and well, others who picked something and other types oh come on, it's gotta be more interesting than just this........
Lorry` SG i'd pick Anthropology, because it interests me more Asian studies not sure bout that, seems like a broad subject depends on what interests you more lor
udontknowme SG hmmm...and if i AM asian?? then i shouldnt take asian studies cos i 'already know most of the stuff????' what does being asian or not have anything to do with it?
noopi SG are you asking us to decide for you what you LIKE? or are you asking us to decide for you what will be more useful? you should have some governing guidelines on how you will choose your minor or in fact what you study at all. Are you going to choose according to what you like or according to the usefulness of the modules? For me I have chosen what I wanted to do... ie. what I like and what I think I can excel in considering my gifts and talents... i think one will be happier this way.... The popular subjects for the BA degree at my uni are Economics, political science and the likes. I chose to read Japanese Studies, English Language and Chinese Studies because I simply like languagges and I had absolutely no idea what reading these will lead to......... I just did them cos I liked them....
