thanks everyone, but i don't get it....

1) braces are juts "fenced" on the surface of the teeth.......what have they gotta do with drooling?

2) the teeth are still intact on the gums and the braces are just surrounding them, so why cannot eat hard food?
it's like adding a layer of plastic onto your teeth. in theory, it makes you teeth even stronger cos' there's support, so why no hard food? Question

1) cuz when ur not eating, ur mouth detects some extra thing in ur teeth, causing saliva to be produced. Must wait awhile till ur mouth understands that braces is part of it, and then it will stop producing excessive saliva.

2) the metal thing is pulling ur teeth left and right, u say pain anot..

1) i dont drool, but i suppose, with the braces attached to your teeth, is harder to close your mouth tighter.. thus it will lead to drool.

2) braces are to adjust your teeth. in order to adjust it, your teeth need to be mobile. so when you are wearing braces, your teeth are mobile (loose in layman term) & so, is hard to chew food.

teeth will remain mobile until braces are taken out, & retainer are fixed in after some times.

eh, i heard that when young, its because of bad eating habits that caused the teeth not to grow properly in straight alignment?

normal i think would be 2 years or so ba. Largely depends on the state ur teeth is in. If very bad then longer, if just need shift abit then perhaps 1yr or so only.

At the start sure feel weird one, after awhile, u'll get used to it..

no idea. Ppl tell me, is young the teeth wanna drop but dun wan pluck out, cause the teeth to grow sidewards. No idea man..

w/o retainer will be around 1 to 5 years, depending on the doctor, your condition & also how fast your teeth adjust.

after your braces is took off, is better to wear retainer as long as possible, there is one transparent retainer now, some doc is still using those one line metal type. As there is not guarantee that our teeth will remain straight forever..

actually i hestiate a long time b4 i decide to go for it, as its so ugly to wear it. I dont even dare to open my mouth intially. haha.. but after a while, is like a used to it...

now u can choose the color of your braces.. i choose white, to make it "less obvious"

so tat will be the price for your braces.. no matter how long u gng to wear it
