huiz SG what is that thick grey band on your lower teeth? just tear out the meat from the spare ribs to eat loh...not that jialat lah. i even eat french loaf as usual.
dahliamorie SG no lah. i ate solid food after 3 days. couldn't take the temptation. just chew slowly. if it's really sore. bite down hard and let the pain persist. after a while, the soreness will go off and you can eat a little bit of food. then when it comes back, do the same thing lor. did you extract any molars?
mystee SG i think u make the right choice to do! think after 2 mths or so, u can see a diff in ur teeth.
mystee SG actually until now, after about 6 mths of braces, i still dun really "chew" on my food.. jz "chew" a little.. then shallow... take super long time to eat.. everything must cut till tiny pieces.. cos my front teeth cant bite to tear the food..

dumbdumb! SG oh, the dentist haven't do the bracing on my front few teeth yet, so its just the wire. the grey band there is to prevent the wire from cutting into me.
mystee SG mine after 6 mth still got difficulties... initally even tofu oso cant tear apart using my front teeth.. tink the front teeth are too loose..
dahliamorie SG can lah! just don't eat apples all that. those that require you to puncture your teeth into it. chew with your back teeth lah. i'm reminded of my 'braces days' right now.
kenizaton SG lol..no worries la...u will get used to it de..i still remember when i juz wear my braces,my inner cheeks and lips always kena cut..den sometimes got blood..dam pain..but it wont happen anymore after a period of time..it's only the first few weeks..dun wry no pain no gain!
forum_dude SG how long do i have to wait, like 2 years? if i wan immediate make, is it more expensive? So do most of u here go to private/public hospital or public/private dental clinics to make?
-unknown SG i had braces on when i was primary 6. it was so darn painful. and every month nid go bak to e dentist and tighten e braces. had it on for 4 years and aft tht was retainer for like 3 yrs. wen i first had it, dun dare sallow my saliva and i cun speak well for ard 2 days.feeling was jus so weird but aft tht took out e braces i felt so weird wifout it
mystee SG hmm.. i heard that if u want to do in national dental, u need to wait like 2 yr or so. If u want immediate, will be as "private", no longer subsidised by govt. i am doing mine at private dental clinics.
dumbdumb! SG hmm, i just took an x-ray, then the dentist contacted me about a week later, can make the braces already.
