I've a friend who's a chef in a 5 stars hotel now, also a ex
student of Shatec, he advise me to go for Pastry and Baking 'cause
there're a lot of things girls can't do in the
kitchen.
Also, guys are more likely to be raised to be a top chef or
something, whereas, not girls.
If I take pastry & baking, my opportunities in the future,
would be better than culinary skills.
I seriously do not know, I really have more interest in Culinary
Skills dip, but also, I like baking as well, just not as much as
cooking lah.
Oh and I heard the teachers for Culinary Skills in shatec changed
after it was take over or something, then it's like, the standard
dropped for CS? Not for P&B?
Any experienced chef or shatec students?
A chef has to manage the cooks underneath him and not only cook,
revise menu etc. I could say just follow your heart.
mm Im not sure abt the standard but i know shatec cert is widely
acknowledge than others. Plus, all these culinary skills need to be
further hone when u are really working in the kitchen.
