yeah, u are right.. with governor/limiter, all BMWs are
electronically limited to 250km/h.. all BMW can reach that speed if
im not wrong.. unless for 1-3 models which are 235km/h+
the model i drove in was E39 M5.. my friend had the governor
removed or switched off some how.. and his M5 is not stock.. he had
his exhaust system changed, air filter, ECU upgrade, CF
hood/roof/boot and some other stuff done to his car.. apparently he
is trying to get his car up to 700-800bhp which i think it is
madness..
why no more than 290km/h? is it the max speed the M5 can
reach?
it took me awhile to get to that speed bcoz i was not confident, i
slowly accelerated from 240kmh.. it was really a once in a lifetime
experience!
german engineering.. i salute! was really very stable at 300kmh+..
vry little vibrations too.. well, to me its little, i havent really
felt heavy vibrations b4, so cant compare..
are there are any jap cars that can handle such high speeds
comfortably (besides lexus)?
