bonkysleuth SG Two plane mirrors are supported with their surfaces at right angles and a small object is placed between them. How many reflected images of this object can be seen in the mirrors? My guess is 2. But i'm not that sure about this. Please help. Thanks!
bonkysleuth SG so that's how you derive to 3??? i kind of don't understand the question. damn it, i fare badly with reflections.
eagle SG Someone explain in terms of virtual images then he will understand more. I just explained it to my sis, but I'm lazy to draw it out on comp
ricorica SG hehe, was quite free so decided to draw it up. tink it will look someting like dis am i right?
eagle SG It's not. Look at ricorica's picture The 3rd image is the from the images of the original mirror. You get inifinte images from parallel mirrors because the images keep repeating itself. It does not happen here.
