Hotel 81 beds are kinda small..just enough when you are with a PRC

booking 1 night wouldn;t be a recommended idea, afterall your friends are here for holiday and who i nthe right mind would wanna spend the next day hunting around for cheaper accomodation? and mind you, if the hotels are full and there are no extension nights avaialble from the old lodging, your frineds might end up sleeping on the streets.. I'd recommend Strand hotel in Bencoolen, it's near Bugis and just a 10 mins car ride to town - without the jam of course Laughing

The rates are at 80 bucks a day, with a miserable pool table at the lobby; a cafe; room service; bla bla...

The rooms are pretty tidy, the beds are quite okay to sleep on - I had no complaints bout the room except the really small TV and bo mini fridge...

Bencoolen 81 also got pool table just for show but no Nigerians hanging around the table,can watch EPL outside .Strand Hotel near Kopitiam and 7 Eleven (sometimes hookers like to hang around there. Mr. Green And who say dont have mini fridge?

Bencoolen 81 is a good sugguestion too.

Pardon my mistake on the mini fridge, I didn't have much time to check the room out whenever I was there in the past Embarassed Laughing

And no comments on the hookers, I don't believe in paying for physical needs (so naturally it's not in my observation)

One time, during a major conference/expo in Singapore, I couldn't find a Malaysian a room and ended putting him up at Hotel Astro, number 51 Joo Chiat Road (5 minutes walk to Paya Lebar or Eunos MRT)

just now i went to this hostel, pretty cool, near bugis area.

7th story hotel

really backpacker style. got common area, the room's small with 2 beds and a tap and a tv.

the toilet is common toilet. Very Happy

Yes,I remember there is a hotel by that name and it used to be the highest hotel in SIngapore.I was told that in the old days people jumped from that building.Once I stayed in an old hotel (forgot the name)along river valley rd.Small bed but hugh room-can play basketball inside.At that time my Gf and I were in bed staring at each other and I went ta na na na--- ta na na na *theme Music from Twilight Zone.
