Exactly!! I absolutely HATE it when a guy comes up to me and
talks like that!! 
And when u brush
them off, they say you're rude. I think they're social skills need
some work. I think that line itself is an insult to females, we're
not just something u can pick off the street, the only ones they
can pick up with that sort of line is the female versions of
themselves - ah lians.
Anyway, girls have it better off in this department, cos we aren't
usually the ones who make the first move. But if I really fancy
him, I would, depending on the place and time. Say in a club, I'd
simply dance with him, talk a bit, then slip my phone number in his
pocket or key it into his mobile. He almost always calls. 
Beats asking for his number directly, and it's a boost to his ego.
