People shopping along Orchard road may find themselves
approached by people asking for help on a survey and found that
they won in a lucky draw. But they have to go to their office and
listen to a 45mins presentation before collecting their prizes. It
is a holiday product they are marketing. One such company is LGM in
Ngee Ann City.
Just to add one important point.
- The 10 days cooling off period does not exist yet in
Singapore!!!
If anyone had been told by them that there is a 10-day cooling off
period and it is a SINGAPORE LAW. Please email to me at

I am building up a case on this.
To protect yourself, ask for a 10-day cooling off period before
signing of any agreement with them. Make them write down in all
contracts that you are going to sign:
Example "LGM shall grant a 10-day cooling off period starting from
the date of signing this contract. Within this 10-day cooling off
period, LGM shall unconditionally cancel this contract on the
request by the purchaser(s) with no questions asked, and all money
paid to LGM shall be fully refunded within 7 calendar days."
This is a fair request as the amount we are going to pay is huge,
and the only reason we are buying is because it has been presented
to us to be such a wonderful and value for money product. Therefore
if everything they told you on the spot is true, then they should
not fear your cancellation later as people do not cancel when they
got a genuine good deal.
No matter what reasons they give you for not being able to write
down the above cancellation condition on the contract that you are
going to sign, WALK OUT STRAIGHT AWAY AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!!
