About Lions Befrienders
Lions Befrienders Service Association (Singapore) was formed in
1995, providing befriending and outreach programmes to more than
4,000 lonely and vulnerable seniors island wide and at three
Seniors Activity Centres – Ang Mo Kio, Bendemeer and Mei Ling
Street - which aim to
help relieve the loneliness and isolation of the
seniors.
About Lions Home for the Elders
Established in May 1980, Lions Home for the Elders has been
providing holistic nursing care, long term residential care and
other eldercare services to about 354 needy elderly staying in our
two aged-care facilities - one 200-bed Toa Payoh Home and the other
154-bed Bedok Home. About 95% of our elderly residents come from
low-income families or are destitute.
