Scania N113CRB luver SG Hello guys . I would to ask does anyone know which DSLR cam from the following brand is the cheapest? Erm ranges from Nikon & Canon only . Cuz Olympus (normal digi cam) i use until fed up .
Y_Shun SG Think twice buying a DSLR...cause its very expensive unless you are very rich. Cheap brands I am not sure...but for DSLR, its to get a good body, lenses etc. Cheap cheap one...in the end you will realise you have to upgrade and you waste $$ again. Also depends what photos you want to take... Nikon D80 /Nikon D40x/Sony a-100(anti blurr/shake technology)/ Canon 400D quite good.

I usually like to take pics of buildings and vehicles (buses) . Scenery maybe as well. Anw , learning how to control aperture & ISO , can learn from my fwens.
^tamago^ SG No lah. My equipment not pro enough, and not much time to pursue it now. Expect to pay from $1,000 and above for body + stock lens. If you want to zoom further or take macro shots you have to fork out for additional lens. And different lens behaves slightly differently so good luck, you have to find your spot.
Scania N113CRB luver SG Hmm as long as pic quality is way better than a compact camera and can do nice effects without photo shopping , its very good liao. Hais...How i wish can have a DSLR. Saw some of ur pics at SkyScraper City forum and i find that your pics are really very beautiful.
Scania N113CRB luver SG Haha icic . Hope Oly's DSLR is better than its compact cameras . My digi cam (which is less than 2 years old) , it has extremely slow focusing and image processing. Model is fe-100. Use until very fed up. Erm , Oly cheaper than Nikon and Canon?
latenightmonster SG To be safe, go for Canon and Nikon lo. Most widely used. Won't go wrong with either. Some models for you to consider Nikon D40 or D40x Canon 350D or 400D Pentax K100D Super Sony A100 Oly E410 or E510
redstone SG My SP500 has focusing problems. Used it for 2 years already. Flash unit is too low, also theres no hotshoe. When you attach the WCON lens, flash is useless, unless you want a semicircular shadow in all your photos.
^tamago^ SG You can get a prosumer camera for that. No need to clean lens, more difficult to carry around and need a special bag just for it. And thanks for the compliments. Lately very busy.

boka SG the 350D will do fine and it will not bored u even if u are a prosumer. when u do crave for more,get a USM and ur rdy to shoot.
Y_Shun SG err...i think its because your compact camera old liao lah...actually you can just get a newer digital camera...if you are using it to shoot bus lah... newer compact cameras can take quite good photos. e.g that [email protected] TIB1062Y take quite good photos..sharp and good contrast... and they are oso using compact cameras only! they are using Fuji FinePix A330/Fujifilm Finepix F20 seems like Fuji Finepix is a nice brand for compact cameras hor....haha
