My dad's occupation is Chauffeur..and his rich boss gets free mooncakes from his business associates every year..and since his boss has too much mooncakes, he gives away some to my dad.. Laughing

Well, and let me be honest here..though I have tried most famous hotels' (like Ritz-Carlton, Shangri-La, Goodwood Park and Raffles Hotel) mooncakes, I think their mooncakes are good BUT not necessarily exceptional..

Everybody expects their mooncakes to be exceptional, but it is actually only just good..Their mooncakes are so expensive is all down to their packaging.. Confused

I dunno.. from the hotels, I mainly buy the weird weird kinds (if I do buy at all) like the truffle mooncake (that fifi posted) from Raffles Hotel..

My favorite original mooncake comes from Tai Chong Kok, and my favorite snowskin mooncake comes from Tung Lok. Very Happy

My mum has this whole dozen of mini snowskin mooncakes that she made herself in the fridge now..but it's filling is kinda weird..Durian with Lotus Paste.. Confused

But surprisingly, it tastes alright.. Laughing
