did a basic topper course at pasir ris many years ago
it is extremely fun! 
the
feeling of the craft skimming over the water at great speed was
exhilarating
and that's only a topper
imagine a laser!!
I also find it much easier to learn than windsurfing becos wind
surfing besides all the understanding of wind directions/tacking
etc, you also need to balance, and control the mast. While sailing,
no need to worry abt the balancing ba.
unfortunately the other friend who did the course with me got
'capsize' phobia, i had nobody to accompany me. and its a little
dangerous to do alone when beginner.. so have forgotten much of
what i have learnt 
Am thinking of doing a refresher but this time with a laser end of
this year
