aleesh SG People cannot distinguish between love and infatuation....I think a person is in love when cannot stop thinking about the one person.

For me, infatuation is pretty similar to love in that it produces very strong feelings but it wears off rather easily so that it seldom pases the test of time unlike "love" which contains the important element of commitment and is much more sturdy, enduring trials and tribulations and thus existing a longer test of time....... How long a time between infatuation and love is dependent on each different individual's preference - there's no hard and fast rule about it.
