davidche SG Come tell us what is the best pen that you have used untill now. What model and brand is it and most of all, tel us why it is so good! EG: smooth, easy to write, etc....if easy to write, why easy to write? For me its pilot G-2 although it isnt my dream pen. I find it too smooth, it is just ok, but the best i have used though.
^mR.yellow^86 SG last time i like kilometrico. it's cheap and smooth. but now the quality is decreasing dramatically. Pilot-G not bad, but not my favourite either. I must confess I like Parker very much, tho it's expensive, but it's very economical for the long term. it's smooth, and everytime when there's a "gap" between the ink, like when it become not very smooth, you can fix it by just blowing air into the top of the pen tips.... Dunno now that kind of pen still exist or not.
MyPillowTalks SG a few years ago was Pilot G1 then pilot G2 and pilot better now is uni laknock medium
Gedanken SG The five pens I use on a regular basis are: Cross Townsend in Titanium/Gold and Quartz Blue lacquer/Rhodium Waterman Phileas Waterman Apostrophe Montblanc Meisterstuck Chopin Platinum The Phileas is the cheapest of the lot, but its medium nib makes it the easiest to write with. The Townsends aren't too bad either, but the capillary feed is sensitive to the type of ink used - you can tell the difference when writing with Cross or Parker ink (the Parker flows more smoothly, but builds up deposits more easily). The Apostrophe is a fine nib and is quite scratchy to write with, but the Meisterstuck is the worst of the lot - ink either doesn't flow or it lays it on so thick it takes ages to dry. I like pens with a bit of weight to them, and the brass barrels of the Townsends and Apostrophe have the edge here over the resin of the Phileas and the Meisterstuck. Overall, I find the Towsends the best to use on a daily basis (given that I use the right ink), while the Meisterstuck ranks last.
Gedanken SG A matter of necessity, really - my handwriting's terrible, and fountain pens require me to hold them and write properly.
Gedanken SG No, but I do a fair bit of corporate work. I'm just fussy about details like pens and watches to go with the suits:
spinsugar SG -_- Gendaken got good (but expensive) taste. hurhur. Thanks to him I've now set my sights on that 1334 Agatha Christie pen!!! Too bad if I go out n buy it now it'll blow my entire budget out of proportion.. LOL..
