I think what Kenashi means is that actions like these are really
basic courtesy
and there is no need to specially consider them as kindness
regardless of this, you may have suffered a momentary embarassment,
possibly hurt pride from this incident. The old man's reaction to
you is inexplicable and I would probably be bewildered for a while,
tell a couple of friends abt this incident and then forget about
it.
Does this incident really warrant you to feel so much injustice?
Cos its going to happen over and over again that you won't be
appreciated for what you have done in life.
But if this is going to be the motivating or demotivating factor of
doing ANYTHING, whether big or small, that is worthwhile - then I
think you need to examine your own personal values.
Be bigger than this. You have been upset, you have complained and
people have commiserated.
time not to clutch this incident to your heart
forever and let it maim u.
