The Singapore Distributor of popular Japanese animated cartoons
called Anime has won the right to track down StarHub subscribers
who downloaded the programmes illegally from the Internet.
A Subordinate Court ordered StarHub recently to disclose the
identity of what The Straits Times understands are one thousand
subscribers identified as having downloaded pirated anime.
StarHub had resisted the company's efforts to get its customer
data, but the court ruled that Odex had "satisfied the court of
their need for the information"
