the Bear SG maybe it's just me, but this whole series of games look like bad 32-bit (even 16-bit) games.. i gave it a try and actually got pretty proficient with a character on my PS1 overall, the gameplay is pretty lame... just a question: why is it so popular? like i said, maybe it's me, but i find the gameplay, fluidity and all that so much better in other fight games like Tekken 4 or even VF4
the Bear SG ever try using King in Tekken? since Tekken 2, i have not mastered his moves... where every move has a reversal... i've done KOF actually, from its very start... ever try The Art of FIghting?.. frankly, eye-candy or not, i think the gameplay is pretty bad... and every year, a clone appears, all the way from 1995 to present, the KOF gameplay has not changed at all.. some observations but that's just me
Yunhaier SG Dunno leh... but I have a friend from top eight - champion for kof 2000 and think second or something in 2001. Dunno how he fare also.
Yunhaier SG I used to think that way too. Then when I play Kof97, I feel that the game is different in a sense that you can choose up to 3 character and lose only after a defeated trio. Its not as messy as Marvel type game and its not 3D kind - satisfied the way I want it to be. Anyway, quite a few regular KOF players reads the comic, although I don't really bother. KOF have a long history since Kof 94 or 95 till now. BTW, if I am not wrong, KOF is the combination of Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury game ages ago - which probably drew both fans since then. For 8-9 years of KOF history (and longer from Art of fighting and Fatal Fury days), I think that's why many continued playing it. Cheers
the Bear SG i guess.. played Fatal Fury.. but didn't like it.. played Art of Fighting, and liked it even less... but i always gave games a go hated Tekken, the first one.. but the subsequent ones were something else, Tekken 2 was the game that launched a million playstations oh, ever since SF alpha 3. the crossovers are messy and pointless... however, SF3 is pretty cool clean game... as in, not like SF vs Marvel, where the screen's a mess... currently trying to figure out what the heck is going on in the japanese Soul Calibur 2, quest mode... great touch in the PS2 game is Heihachi Mishima from Tekken oh, another grouse from the KOFs.. the insanely bad English... "Beat by 3" huh??
boy in blues SG some tournament video clips of Singapore's top 4 players against one another.. http://www.gamingmatrix.com/kofonline/Images/Tournament/KOF2002/vidChampWanlongAlvin.rm http://www.gamingmatrix.com/kofonline/Images/Tournament/KOF2002/vid3rdLanceDanny.rm http://www.gamingmatrix.com/kofonline/Images/Tournament/KOF2002/vidFinals1AlvinLance.rm i just love the way Alvin and Lance use Orochi Yashiro to terrorize and psycho opponents..damm expert at playing mind games especially using Oro Yashiro..block also cannot, jump also cannot ah..can only die. although iori usually beats oro yashiro more often than not, i respect yashiro players far more than iori simply because iori needs no more than brute strength, yashiro needs much more finesse because one false move can mean certain death.
