silv3rgal SG Bus/Lorry license = Class 4 Car license = Class 3 Class 4 not= Class 3 ? correct me if i'm wrong, but class 4 license isn't a "bao ka liao" license which allows the driver to drive a class 3 vehicle too.
paradox86 SG for those bendy bus its class 5. class 4 or 5 can drives class 3. you need to qualify for class 3 before you can pass 4 and 5
n0x SG military lisence convert to civilian 1 must drive for 7000km in a military vehilce then can convert.. discrepancy most prob due to the fact tt military vehilce speed limit is 50km/h?!?! and the training period is like 5 weeks only in which the person if he is attending class 4 course will be eligible to drive a class 4 vehicle too aka the 5 tonne... though i know the final theory in military one is harder than outside 1.. cos is not mcq but is presented with a situation instead and u explain to the tester what to do ... and tp criteria more stringent.. eg. graze curb immediate failure
silv3rgal SG ok i get it..... if it's a must to get 3 to proceed to class 4 and 5, of course, bus drivers are qualified to drive cars, i guess this clears the threadstarter's doubts.
Ritz79 SG if u got class 4, u can drive class 3, if u got class 5, u can drive everything except taxi and PZ bus(not really sure abt this) cos theres a 4A license too.
n0x SG lets juz say that one of the prerequisite to becoming a bus driver is a class 3 civilian liscence…. which u get outside at private or schools…
mhcampboy SG why not?? i know lots of my friends are VIP drivers. they drove the mercs and the audi's and the various staff cars as well. and they went to the same course as every vocational drivers went. so i think.. all drivers are the same. except on how one drives the vehicles tats all.
AE86tofu SG wads worse is that Military testers are not qualified at all...see u like yr driving stlye pass u...dun like yr face or wad...puropsely fail u....etc...TP testers 2 me are fair and definitely more qualified....thats is one of the reasons the military license is not recgonised....any many military drivers i know are irresponsible....which is y the accident rates are high even if the vehs are limited to 50km/h.....sometimes i wonder Y SAF is so stupid...2 think tt remaining at 50km/h can lower accident rates...wayang @ssholes

Container trailer without the rear part = class 4 *With container behind = A course in PSA (towing)
