HE lived just 1km away from them.
But the 16-year-old Kota Bahru, Kelantan, teen was in no way
neighbourly.
The school dropout allegedly raped his 10-year-old neighbour while
her mother was not at home, and then assaulted the mother when she
arrived home before he could escape.
The attack happened on Monday, reported China Press.
The girl was home alone with her 8-year-old sister, while her
mother was at her school processing her bursary application.
The girl was doing the laundry when the suspect barged into the
house and locked the door from inside.
He then reportedly forced the girl into one of the bedrooms where
he raped her.
During that time, the younger sister was left to play in the living
room.
New Straits Times reported that the victim's 46-year-old mother
returned home at 1.30pm and heard her daughter's screams.
She broke down the door to find the girl semi-naked on the floor
with the teen.
The teen then punched the mother on her face several times before
running off.
He was arrested at his home an hour later by the police.
Over in Jinjang Selatan, Kuala Lumpur, another young girl had also
become the victim of a bad neighbour.
NST reported that the 12-year-old girl ended up being raped by her
68-year-old neighbour last Thursday, after he asked her for help in
taking care of his paralysed brother.
The unsuspecting victim had agreed, thinking the male suspect was a
'nice old man'.
But after following the man into his house, she was forced to go
into a room where she was then allegedly raped.
After the attack, the man warned the victim to keep silent about
the incident.
The traumatised girl kept mum but confessed to her mother the next
day because of the pain in her private parts.
A police report was made, and the man has since been
arrested.
And in Penang, a 26-year-old woman was raped when she fainted after
receiving a tap on the shoulder from a mysterious man
earlier.
China Press reported that the victim had just withdrawn money from
the ATM machine on Monday morning and was walking to her car when a
man tapped her on the shoulder.
The next thing she knew, she was in a hotel room with the man, and
it was already evening.
The man who tapped her claimed that he had raped her while she was
unconscious, in 'punishment' for her seducing someone else's
husband.
He then drove her to the bus station before escaping.
The woman made a police report the same night.
She denied the man's allegations and suspects she's a victim of
mistaken identity.
