unless you're a hot babe with pictures to show, the forums isn't
a very good place to look for friends (you're a 35 year old jobless
lonely man, after all). 
You'll make plenty once you start working. But if you can't wait,
there are alot of communities out there that are great - mountain
climbing clubs (if you're into that), religious organisations
(again, if you're into that) or other 'out-there' activities
instead of the internet.
in here, that is, cyberspace, alot of us are guarded. we like
shooting arrows at everyone, and we're less open about ourselves. I
suggest that the reason why you picked the forum is because of it's
anonymousity? - anyways, have you tried dating sites? the paid ones
are great! - cause if you're paying, no clones would be smart to
show up and everyone there is serious about making friends (at
least that much)
if all else fail, you could always buy 'friends' if you're rich enough
(social escorts/prostitutes)
