Recently I went to Oman, heard of this thing called the Demon of
Rustaq.
Apparently, something happened every night in one of the larger
villages that scared the heck out of everyone. Came out in
newspapers. Even the army and police were called down and many ppl
all over the region went to see. The mystery was never solved
although the authorities claimed it was a dog. A dog which was
never seen or found.

The Monster of Rustaq: Deathly cries haunt Oman
Bone-chilling screams that rang through the night in the Oman town
of Rustaq had locals in fear for their lives. The spine-tingling
cries were attributed to a beast they called the Monster of
Rustaq.
But, was is the beast?
Some people speculate that the cries were the death rattle of the
angry spirit of a wizard who had died and returned to the hut he
once lived in. Others speculate that a mischievious Jinn was up to
no good.
Oman government officials have closed the case stating that the
noises were being made by a dog
but no dog has been seen. Despite
this explanation, the howls continue to pierce the chill of the
night
.
