metallica? please... Jimi hendrix sucks? id like to see u play better than him. i don;t think Joe perry is better than Van halen or slash... and its megadeth not megadeath.

kopiosatu SG

this type of list very controvertial...
even guitar mags try to do the same thing and ppl will write in to challenge the choices...
personally i think, for them to reach a level where people respect them for their work... is proof enough of their ability.

all i can say is, they're better than us~!

omit SG

quite random and relative i guess.. heh.. amatuer guitarist la me

10. steve morse -deep purple
really like his tone and riffs.. shreds

9. Petrucci -dream theatre
enjoy his progressive styles and technique

8.Issei Noro - casiopea
not really rock guitarist~~ strictly rock guitarrist issit? his style quite fusion i suppose.. talk about speed and tone..it's not how his guitar sounds... rather how tight and how he accents the band.

7.SRV
blues man.. respect ah.. plays 13s on his strat.. and his tone and technique .... should hear him play slide

6. van halen

Parka SG

no idea who they are

Ecxentrique SG

My personal fave:

van halen
and satriani

By the way just feel strange that Vai ranks on top of satriani. cos the latter is supposed to have taught vai.. case of green comes out of blue and exceeds blue.. Mr. Green

KhidMasAE86 SG

its true satch taught vai before...not really teach lah brother...its like mixing skills and giving him the experience...but i think u never seen they play together before..u can see the difference... vai is better in a way...of course satriani is good... but if u look at the technique vai is a little more unique...i still respect both players...
